How much Arthur have you seen?
« on: October 20, 2012, 06:44:00 pm »
I've been curious lately how many people on here have actually seen every single episode of Arthur. I'm sure a bunch have, but I thought this might be a neat thread topic.

Take my title of obsessed Arthur fan away, because there are a few episodes that I haven't seen from season 14 for the fact that for a while I had went on an Arthur hiatus and haven't gotten to see them:

"Follow the Bouncing Ball"/"Buster Baxter and the Letter from Sea"
"Around the World in 11 Minutes"/"Muffy and the Big Bad Blog"
"Arthur Unravels"/"All the Rage"
"Buster Spaces Out"/"The Long Road Home"
"Grandpa Dave's Memory Album"/"Buster's Carpool Catastrophe"
"Night of the Tibble"/"Read and Flumberghast"

Now as for the last two, I haven't seen those season 15 and 16 episodes because for the first it somehow slipped by me when it aired, and the second I my DVR forgot to tape.  :P

I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode from the first eight seasons at least once... the rest of the series I have trouble touching... I just can't get past Arthur sounding like D.W. and D.W. sounding like a chipmunk.

That's not to say I haven't seen ANY from those seasons, because I have, those that I HAVE seen include:

(Individual segments)
"Francine's Big Top Trouble"
"Arthur Makes Waves"
"Three's a Crowd" (I think)
"The 'A' Team, Part 2"
"Binky Goes Nuts"
"I Owe You One"
"The Blackout"
"No Acting Please"
"In My Africa"
"Get Smart"

(Full episodes)
"The Cherry Tree; Matchmaker, Matchbreaker"
"The Great MacGrady"
"All About D.W.; Blockheads"
"Night of the Tibbles; Read and Flumberghast"

I've seen just about every episode of Arthur there is to see. I saw most of Season 1 of Postcards From Buster and some episodes from the second season. The third season I remembered seeing all the episodes.

As far as PFB go, I wasn't too keen on the idea myself, but I did see the "pilot" from Arthur... and I know for a fact I've seen "Sleepy in Seattle".

Now for PFB, I haven't seen all that many as my PBS stations basically only showed it for a bit when it first aired and then it never returned to my area.

I definitely saw the season 3 episode "Ciao, Buster" and the season 1 episode "Best Friends." However I know that I saw multiple other episodes of the show, just can't quite pinpoint off hand exactly which.

Several of the PFB episodes are on PBS' site.

Well, I guess I can cross "Grandpa Dave's Memory Album" and "Buster's Carpool Catastrophe" off of my list...

I've seen every Arthur episode except one: "Tales of Grotesquely Grim Bunny;" it sounded to dark to me.

I remember that back when there were six seasons, they played all the episodes in chronological order, so I knew when my favorite episodes were on. There was I time when I had two PBS channels, and Arthur was on four or five times a day! So when there was an episode on that I really liked I would watch it three times. I think I mostly did this with episodes from season 4 and season 6. When they started to play seasons 5 and 8 a lot, I watched a lot less Arthur.

You should watch the second half of season 14, Muppetfan. I actually thought that it was much better than the first half. The running gag with the "El Boomerang" soccer ball was brilliant.

"Tales of Grotesquely Grim Bunny" isn't really dark, in a sense, but rather the characters being scared to read a dark comic book.

The El Boomerang thing actually is something that, from hearing about it, I am dreading to see...it sounds so far-fetched from what I perceive.

I remember watching it everyday in the morning and afternoon when I was in elementary school, so I know for a fact I've seen every episode through season 6. And I've seen a handful of them up through now, but for any I didn't watch I probably wont get interested in doing so, I especially won't watch any Kate/Pal episodes.

I have seen each episode at least once. The only exceptions are the three most recent episodes (16-8, 16-9, and 16-10), which I believe have only aired once in the U.S, and I missed those air dates.  ::)

Actually, I've seen nearly all of them multiple times, especially prior to Season 12/13. Seems like Season 12 and thereafter, I've only seen once, maybe twice, as the stories just don't seem as good as they used to be. That's not to say there are not some great episodes anymore... ("George and the Missing Puzzle Piece", "Night of the Tibble" and "Get Smart" I seemed to really enjoy)

I've seen the first four seasons in full, I own Seasons 1-3 on DVD and have watched Season 4 on YouTube. I've also seen almost all of Season 16 when it aired on CBBC recently (I haven't seen "Flippity Francine" as they didn't air it here in the UK for some reason), and a handful of other eps from other seasons.

Just about every episode I've seen since 1996 when the show was new.
