I'm waiting for bud without his hat.

You'll be waiting a long time.  I'm afraid it's not that easy to just pull a rabbit out of a hat these days.

I just can't take it anymore.

Toy sharks gazing wantonly up Maria's swim-skirt...
Binky's nipples hardening in the crisp afternoon breeze...
Nameless ponytail girls being cloned and recolored out of sheer laziness...
It's just too much.  I'm taking my pillow and sleeping on the railroad tracks tonight.

Maria, you're welcome to join me.

Fern isn't considerate of anything.  Even her own appearance.
But that's why we love her so.  ;)

The horror is so much more clear when seen under a magnezifying glass...

Books / Open Library - Online Access to Arthur Adventure Books
« on: January 16, 2014, 02:33:50 am »
In case anyone is interested in checking out the early Arthur Adventure books, most of them can be viewed/downloaded for free at http://www.openlibrary.org.
The downside is that the site has a limited number of e-copies of each book that can be checked out at any given time, so titles may not always be available.

As much it pains me to have to pour salt on old wounds by re-opening a closed case...
The photos just came back from the crime lab.
I think it's pretty clear that a certain inflatable lamniform had something to do with all of this.

Come clean, Maria.  There's clearly more to this story than you're letting on.

Characters / Re: First Appearance Shots

Truly, some of the early artwork was pretty scary.  Combine the more primitive animal-like designs and lower color saturation, and it feels like you're experiencing a child's nightmare.

To make things even more disturbing, the stories took a pretty a morbid turn at times.  One time Buster's canoe capsizes, and instead of helping him Francine just paddles by and asks him of he can do the dead man's float.  Another time Arthur and Francine scare away Binky by threatening to saw him in half and collect his blood in a bucket.  Binky falls several feet off the stage, and Ratburn just laughs at him.  The list goes on...  :D

Muffy (Arthur and the True Francine, 1981), Bailey - maybe (Arthur and the True Francine, 1981), The Crosswires - Chip, Ed, Millicent (Arthur Goes to Camp, 1983), Pal (Arthur's Pet Business, 1990)

 Jenna - maybe (Arthur's Eyes, 1979), Prunella (Arthur's Teacher Trouble, 1986), Alex - maybe (Arthur's Valentine, 1980), Maria - maybe (Arthur's Eyes, 1979)

Ms. MacGrady - probably (Arthur's Chicken Pox, 1994), Mr. Sipple (Arthur's TV Trouble, 1995), Carl Manino (Arthur Writes a Story, 1996), The Tree House (Arthur's Valentine, 1980)

The Reads - Jane, David, D.W. (Arthur's Nose, 1976), The Reads - better detail (Arthur's Nose, 1976), Kate (Arthur's Baby, 1987), The Tibbles (Arthur Babysits, 1992)

Mr. Ratburn (Arthur and the True Francine, 1981), Mr. Haney (Arthur's Eyes, 1979), Ms. Sweetwater (Arthur and the True Francine, 1981), Bitzi Baxter (Arthur's First Sleepover, 1992)

:o  Apparently, she's only one small part of a much larger, much more frightening conspiracy: http://www.thedailybeast.com/galleries/2011/10/04/celebritiy-civil-war-look-a-likes-photos.html

Hmm...I'm guessing there's an invisible thread of dental floss between Evil Fern's thumb and curiously-white and robust teeth?
