francine shook her head to try and clear it. but apparently the voice took it as a no, and suddenly she was swept up by a horde of baby ratburns as she was swept to aisle 5,watching as the processed food swept past her, color and smell blended in a disgusting merchandise selling consumer ensemble, it was- "SOYLENT GREEN IS READY FOR CONSUMER CONSUMPTION." she saw muffy grinning evilly, counting her money as she lined up her "friends" for taste testing...but for them, or her? but wait, no, muffy was cowering, she wasn't at the top yet. francine looked up, and saw....

Characters / Re: What happened to Jenna?

jenna, jenna, jenna. we can miss her, but we sure dont. background characters are usually best left to fan animations and the like. (where are the arthur fans?!?!?!) i want to like jenna, she is just so very nice, which for once doesn't annoy me. but i dont really "miss" her.

maria, dont stand alone. you must stop this. not only for you, but for us all. but tread carefully, there was another girl who fell in with the butler, and she was last seen working her life away, always watched, by the good and the bad. be careful, maria, the crosswires have...connections.

recognize her? no?

neither did we. neither did her own cousin. monique was a girl full of potential, brilliance, spunk, but is now ruined, her face broken from year of working in the abusive show business. she didn't even feel confident enough to take their tickets. but she cannot ever leave. because of him. because of them.

this is bigger than just you, maria, today-we are canceling the abuse!

Episodes / Re: Magnezonomon's Season 17 (P)review
« on: December 11, 2013, 06:50:23 pm »
ill admit, any episodes with brain interest me. hope we see more brain. story9 is improving (in a was bald and now hair thickness is starting to improve cause its growing back kind of way) with each episode, but they need to work on the character originality. everyone is a stereotype! and you cant, CANT do that to my brain.

okay,i guess they looked like that originally, but they found ways to change that throughout the seasons and develop each character. im seeing a bit of it in this season, but they undid a LOT of character development in the process  :-\

its weird how at the beggining of the series, she was more of the "being controlled by her own sins" sort of person. at first she seemed naive, but skilled in all the things her character type (ie, rich.) shouldn't be, or need to be experienced in. she was/is a skilled liar, cheater, and overall mean girl. but she could also be caring, and repentant, like she was trapped by her own...what? brattyness? I dont know... she was basically begging for redemption, but she just got more stereotyped over the seasons went on (lost both her cattiness and her feeling,) and now her character has barely any diversity, and, she is really annoying. ugh! why, story9, why?

Games / Arthur: the roleplay!
« on: November 18, 2013, 06:17:58 pm »
Hey guys! This is just a planning thread, if we end up actually DOING the roleplay, I will make a new thread for that purpose. I put this in "games" because I didn't notice a roleplay section. Anyway, onto the fine print:
                                                                      ARTHUR HIGHSCHOOL ROLEPLAY!
If any of you don't know how to do a roleplay, you put down actions that you (or your OC.) does in a set environment. (for instance:
*waves at d.w.* and then whoever is put in charge of D.W. might "say" back: *screams at -whatever your oc is-* MOOOM!- so, anything enclosed in stars is an action, and anything that is not is what your OC is saying. Make sure to put the name of your character at the top of your post.)

Certain people will be given the responsibility to "role play" certain Arthur characters like Mr. Ratburn. If they are given this privilege, they must treat it with respect. Do not make Nigel Ratburn do something Nigel Ratburn doesn't do. Dont make Brain a jerk. etc. You can either play an actual Arthur character, or make an OC (original character). If you make an OC, I have a link to a PBS kids site where you can make an OC in the style of the (new) Arthur animation at the end of this post.

THE RULES ARE: No swearing, no pervs, and try to keep it moderately real. You can do some light swearing, (and it doesn't really matter, because our language block blocks it all anyway.) but try not to go on a swearing spam mode. No pervs means no sex (you can have passionate kisses and like, but nothing beyond that.), and no incestuous, homosexual, etc. relatonships. If you support these types of relationships, I understand, but this is my roleplay, and I would rather keep it to (or at least close to) the innocence of the actual show. Keep it real: if you have a robot battle, think of how it would logically happen in the show, (Brain would probably build it.)

The setting of the role play will be in Elwood city, in the Elwood City Highschool (I am open to better name ideas.). Until "Mr. Ratburn" rings the bell, you must role play in the school. If you dislike the idea of a Highschool roleplay, then we can negotiate. However, I think a Highschool time period would be more enjoyable than having them as eight year olds, however that is up to you, as we will discuss it in this thread.

Any questions, suggestions or suggested modifications? I'm open to them. that is what this thread is for. I haven't done this sort of thing before, so I am open to any advice from more experienced role players. I want everyone to enjoy the roleplay, so speak up if you have anything to add.

If you want to roleplay a certain Arthur character, or play an OC, the format is given below. If you are playing one of the main cast that are currently children in the show, they will have changed slightly if they are in Highschool, or middle school in DW's case, and you can submit their updated personality profiles. Whichever character submission for a certain main character I like the best, the person who submitted it will be called on to play the character. If you make an OC, they will need to be approved for the roleplay as well.

CHARACTER SUBMISSION FORMAT:
(you only need to use the capitalized parts for your character format.)
NAME:
ROLE: are they a teacher in highschool, a highschooler, etc.
AGE: based on previous question. if they are in highschool, however, keep their ages to 14, 15, or 16.
GENDER:
BACKSTORY: family situation and the like.
PERSONALITY:
APPEARANCE:if you dont want to use the character creator, then an old fashioned looks critique will do.

Here is the character creator link:

main cast:
Arthur

Arthur on the Web / Re: PFB: The Lost Episode
« on: November 17, 2013, 07:04:13 pm »
a lotta moms was weird, but some people think that it wasn't even showing a lesbian couple, like, maybe they were a mom, whose husband divorced and remarried, then divorced HER, and made her have partial custody of his kids from the previous marriage. (a little crazy, but, hey, there have been weirder situations.) it seems to me that if this was the case, the production company made it seem more likely that they were lesbians, so as to get a reaction.  :-\

how the heck was clifford promoting gays? it was promoting red dogs.  :P
