Episodes / Re: Arthur's Knee
« on: August 10, 2013, 07:10:37 pm »
Yes, it did seem darker than others. Even the name sounds ominous! I mean, it's so subtle and short: Arthur's Knee. Like, "What about his knee?"

I, personally, found D.W.'s constant yelps funny...is that weird?

As for the jean/cut thing, maybe Arthur was moving his knee in a swiping motion. That would be enough force to tear through the pants, and Arthur's skin...I think. It's not like I'm a doctor or anything.

Go to this link and look at the "Summary" section:

It's not cited, so I don't know if it's real, but the episode sounds awesome!!!

Thoughts?

Oh, wait, I just remembered. That first idea is just like "Arthur's Substitute Teacher Trouble"....sorry....

Here are the ideas I posted (under my real name):

This one is my favorite:
"Mr. Ratburn goes off work for a month or so, and the class is really excited because they think he is mean. The substitute is a really nice person who gives no homework and extra recess. Somehow Mr. Ratburn overhears the class raving about the new teacher, and his feelings are hurt. He resigns, and the nice teacher takes his spot permanantley. But the teacher's niceness starts to get annoying, and Brain complains that they don't get to actually LEARN anything will all the surprise parties and games! They realize that even though Mr. Ratburn is tough at times, they all still like him as their teacher. They "learn" that too much of a good thing is a bad thing, and that adults have feelings, too." (I also replied to my own post, saying it could be called "When You Give a Rat an Off Day".

I kinda like this one...kinda:
"Jenna (I want to include her because she has totally disappeared from the show! P.S. bring her back!) and Francine get into some kind of sports competition to see who is the REAL best athlete at Lakewood, and everyone is chanting them on, but Francine and Jenna are really tiered, but they don't show it. They finally agree to both forfeight and the other kids realized they were too enthusiastic (like in "A is for Angry"). I don't really like this idea, I just want Jenna to have an episode."

There's a Clifford episode exactly like this, I just was wondering what the respone would be:
"One of the main characters is moving away (maybe George or Fern; not someone TOO important) and everyone tries to give the best last day in Elwood City, and then the realize it was all a misunderstanding (I don't know how, just somehow)."

This is a lot of cross-breeding. Ugh. I think the animals should stick with the same species.

Characters / Re: Lydia Fox
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:12:52 pm »
I keep saying this and saying this! Lydia should have appeared in "Brain's Chess Mess"! At the end of "The Wheel Deal", Lydia says her strong suit is chess! and Brain was desperate for an opponent! It was the perfect episode for her to appear in! She could have at least come to his tournament, even if she didn't play or have a huge role!

Characters / Re: Binky's Personality
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:07:51 pm »
In "The Last Tough Customer", Binky mentioned the school being "bully-proofed". That was never explained or anything, but it might have something to do with their nice behavior.

Characters / Re: James

James is fine. Not great, not horrible, just...fine. His personality is common and relateable. He's kinda like the preschool version of Fern. However, I sometimes find him annoying.

Characters / Re: Nadine has a last name!
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:01:28 pm »
D.W. probably never created Nadine's last name until "Read and Flumberghast". She just acted like Nadine had simply never told her her last name. (rolls eyes) 4 year olds...

Characters / Re: Mr. Ratburn

He was, like, extremely evil in his first appearance, and he has slowly become a lovable, agreeable, pleasant person to the students. I mean, come on! There's a lot of examples I just can't think of them right now...

Characters / Re: Prunella is a rat; not a poodle
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:47:50 pm »
I, too, believe Prunella is a rat...but just to clarify, a "Packrat" is just a name for someone who collects clutter. It does not mean anyone who does it is a rat...just saying.

News / Re: More Arthur episodes on Netflix

Yes! Please upload! I have no idea how to do that, so I just rely on other people. There is one reliable user and YouTube that has a couple episodes from the SECOND half of Season 16, (Fern and the Case of the Stolen Story, Sue Ellen Vegges Out) and the PBS Kids video player keeps uploading new episodes about every month.

WHAT?? They took off Seasons 1-12?? And...added...fif...TEEN??!!!!!! I'm not saying S15 is the worst, but give 12 seasons for 1? That's-that's-that's-that's IDIOTIC STUPID DELIRIOUS...STUPID...oh, I already said that. I watch Netflix a lot (I have a Roku), and Arthur is one of my top shows! Couldn't they just have added Season 15 onto all the other eps? Isn't their goal to have ALL of the episodes?
