News / Something big about to happen?
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:23:37 pm »
It recently came to my attention that the Arthur Facebook page has been hinting around at a big announcement to come over the holiday season, so I thought that maybe we could do some speculating.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Series Discussion / MOVED: Arthur Lost Episode?

This topic has been moved to Fan Creations, as it is extremely misleading in the "series discussion" section.

Episodes / The Episode Help Thread
« on: October 27, 2012, 09:55:59 am »
Ever have a certain plot element of a story but don't know what episode it is in? I'm creating this thread for that.

I need help with this: I seem to recall an episode of Arthur where there is a fantasy in which the Tibbles are named Tweedledee and Tweedledum. I think there may have been some other Alice in Wonderland characters also involved.

Series Discussion / How much Arthur have you seen?
« on: October 20, 2012, 06:44:00 pm »
I've been curious lately how many people on here have actually seen every single episode of Arthur. I'm sure a bunch have, but I thought this might be a neat thread topic.

Take my title of obsessed Arthur fan away, because there are a few episodes that I haven't seen from season 14 for the fact that for a while I had went on an Arthur hiatus and haven't gotten to see them:

"Follow the Bouncing Ball"/"Buster Baxter and the Letter from Sea"
"Around the World in 11 Minutes"/"Muffy and the Big Bad Blog"
"Arthur Unravels"/"All the Rage"
"Buster Spaces Out"/"The Long Road Home"
"Grandpa Dave's Memory Album"/"Buster's Carpool Catastrophe"
"Night of the Tibble"/"Read and Flumberghast"

Now as for the last two, I haven't seen those season 15 and 16 episodes because for the first it somehow slipped by me when it aired, and the second I my DVR forgot to tape.  :P

Series Discussion / Unrealism in Arthur?
« on: October 20, 2012, 01:41:27 pm »
Arthur has always been about everyday kids facing everyday problems. But has anyone noticed some fantastical events going on in the series as of late?

For example, "To Eat or Not to Eat." A company starts selling candy that makes kids run around with sparkles coming out of their mouths? And candy with radioactive elements in it?

And even more recently, in "Based on a True Story," though I know that something unbelievable had to happen to Ladonna at the end in order for the story to work correctly, but a raccoon taking hat? An abundance of coins pouring out of a soda machine?

I even found the guy bringing a koala into the preschool to be a tad unreasonable.

Episodes / MOVED: Buster is a thief
« on: October 20, 2012, 01:19:14 pm »
Topic was moved to the characters section, as it seems to fit better there, as we are talking about a certain aspect of a character rather than a certain episode or episodes.

Characters / Character Naming
« on: October 12, 2012, 10:14:40 pm »
I thought this might be worth discussing: did anyone ever notice how all of the main Arthur characters have such obscure names, (minus Jane and David Read, of course), yet all the other, supporting characters seem to have such generic names? I've always found it interesting, and I wonder if that could have anything to do with many characters not being created and/or named until the TV series?

Episodes / To Eat or Not to Eat
« on: October 09, 2012, 09:34:48 pm »
Rewatching this episode again today, I continue to realize how unrealistic the whole thing is. Sparkles coming out of kids' mouths after eating these? Radioactive elements? Fern and George being too primary people involved, though they seem to be the people most likely to stand out against it, the role that Buster instead assumed. The whole thing is just weird overall.

There is also an additional Arthur forum online that has been around much longer than this one:

It isn't all too active right now, but I just thought I'd give it a shoutout anyhow.

Postcards from Buster / Mr. Morris on PFB
« on: September 29, 2012, 05:57:03 pm »
Mr. Morris appeared in the PFB episode "Alien Adventure" and reunited with Buster. For some reason I think I remember him saying that he now has a grandson, and it showed an image of that grandson, but I can't quite remember. Can anyone enlighten me?

Series Discussion / They really put in some thought...
« on: September 28, 2012, 08:41:36 pm »
Today they showed "Buster's Secret Admirer."

Today is "Love Note Day."

They actually do spend their time looking up obscure holidays to air episodes based on them...
