Arthur is a American series, but Arthur is produced in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  Because of this many people has voiced complaints about the season 16 and how the company 9 Story Studio should return it back to Cookie Jar Production.  Others said that they want to destroy 9 Story Studio.  Just to remind everyone, because the series is made in Canada and Produced in Canada.  Everything from advertising and broadcasting the series is in the U.S.A..  So to tell you the truth attacking 9 Story Studio and Arthur series is like attacking Toronto.  So stop complaining, there is allot more to complain about than a bad season.  There is always going to be another season.

I think there is a huge difference between attacking 9 Story and the new Arthur season and attacking Toronto. 9 Story is only a very tiny part of the whole of Canada. What you're saying is like saying if you don't like some American TV show hosts, then you are attacking America, which is far from true.

I don't like season 16 because of the new animation. It just seems very lazy. I don't think 9 story's Flash animation is a good match for Arthur, a classic children's show done traditionally in hand-drawn animation.

Which begs the question...

Which animation method do you prefer?

There is always going to be another season.

True, but what if that season comes and there are very few improvements? Since 9 Story failed to make a good first impression on me with their animation, I'm a little dubious about future seasons, even though said animation has slightly improved.

Sorry, but the Flash just doesn't work for me. :(

It might sound strange, but I been to 9 Story studios.  It has good shows.  But remember when Arthur changed its early art style from Season 1 to season 10.  Than they change the style to a newer style for the remaining seasons at Cookie Jar.  I heard people complain about that style too, that the older style is better.  Well here is the thing about people and forums, they love to complain, because they can hide behind a user name.  Listen to someone who prefers to look at life as having a half full feel.  Over time people will get use to the animation, and even if they go back to the old animation style it will not be the same.  As times change so those the animation will change.  You got to live with the changes or you will be stuck in the past.  As for the reason why I say that attack 9 Story Studio is like attacking Toronto is because where 9 Story Studio is, if you burn down or destroy the studio you would pipe out a whole block plus a park and everything that goes with the park.  Best bet not to complain about a company that could affect everyone around them.

Your right about the idea animation changes. Like Simpsons for example the animation has changed a lot since Season 1 of that show. I think they use computer animation too.

I honestly didn't mind...or even notice...the change in animation style from season 1 to season 10 or so. I thought it was just a digital remastering. But if you look on Greg Bailey's LinkedIn, it says,

"The series was converted over to Flash animation this season from our usual traditional animation format. The show is looking pretty good and the look is quite refreshed looking but still maintains all the great stuff of the past that made it such a success."

I honestly beg to differ with Mr. Bailey here.

I've noticed that his words imply that the change just took place with season 16. So I am OK with seasons 10-15 or so. I wasn't very fond of high-pitched Arthur but I eventually warmed up to it. Season 16 was just hard to watch.

First of all: Yes, it is progress. For some that is an unfortunate truth. There is a saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I think that Arthur was pretty great in the past, so, in my opinion, it definitely didn't need "fixing" through Flash.

By the way, some have pointed out that more recent seasons have had some pretty weak or repetitive storylines. Looking back, I think I agree with them. ("Around the World in 11 Minutes", "Hic or Treat", "Baby Steps", "Arthur's Number Nightmare"). They have said that the show has gone downhill since season 7 or 8. I don't necessarily agree with that, but they raise some good points with the supposed "advancement" of the Arthur series. Some have even claimed that the show has long passed its prime, and that they should just can the series altogether.

Second, I don't think people actually meant to bomb or blow up 9 Story Studios. I think they meant "destroy" in a figurative sense, or they weren't really taking it seriously. They just really hate what the studios have done to Arthur, which I can understand.

Going beyond Arthur...why would ANYONE diss Toronto on the basis of a studio? That's like dissing ice cream solely on the basis of one flavor!

People do stupid things nowadays as well as say stupid things, especially on the internet. Some users have said what Orion posted before sadly. They are nothing more then just teenagers and young adults who are hiding behind the internet and are too lazy to get up off their butts and get a real job instead of sitting on their you know whats and acting like trolls on the internet. Cowards on the internet more like it. If they were serious and were actually going to do these things they would probably be arrested by the CIA or Secret Service. I doubt any of these guys saying these things would do any of that. They are just saying it to sound tough (it's not working either).

Also for the record Cookie Jar is no longer around anymore as of August of 2012. It has merged with DHX for anyone that does not know or did not hear about that.

I don't see any problems with 9 story. This season hasn't been as good as some, but I'm not going to take it too far like some users have.  Nor do I  think people are intentionally being mean to Toronto.

Pretty much yeah. There was one user on this forum (I think everyone here can figure out who it is) that took things way too seriously with this. This is what got him in serious trouble with several other users on other sites. He's gone now, so no need to mention him other then this one time I'm doing so.
