I have to admit I thought the new animation was a bit distracting as well. But I sort of got used to it by weeks end. As for the episodes themselves, I don't think they were that bad. I mean, none that I would rank as "worst ever". None were great, at the worst they were pointless. I seriously want to know who thought it would be a great idea to make an episode about DW and Emily building blocks would be a good idea for an 11 minute episode. If that doesn't cough up "out of ideas" nothing does.

Yeah, I mean, I can relate to that throughout my childhood so many times. I made this great building or something out of my toys and then just kept adding to it and loving it to the point that when I even got bored of it, I was deathly afraid to tear the thing down and then...

I guess we will have to wait until Spring 2013 for the remaining 5 Season 16 episodes, even when Fern and Sue Ellen have speaking parts in at least 1 new episode!

If I were to picture Arthur's animation to change, I would have thought Between the Lions shorts. But I'm glad that they didn't go in that direction.

I assumed that Arthur would stop with at most six seasons because usually PBS's animated series last no longer than that while the live action ones (Sesame Street, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Reading Rainbow) last for decades.

There are two animated kids' shows that I know of that have ran for almost as long as Arthur: SpongeBob SquarePants and Pokemon. I don't know whether the original viewers of those shows are getting tired of them or not.
