Your Favorite Episodes

Might as well get the ball rolling, here's a thread to discussion our favorite episodes.

I would just like to say that there are a number of full half-hour episodes that I really enjoy, but the one that always sticks out in my mind is "The Blizzard; The Rat Who Came to Dinner", both stories have really entertaining premises, and Ratburn is hilarious in both, acting like the school shutting down because of frozen pipes would be like an apocolyptic disaster, not to mention how he really showed that teachers are like other ordinary people too when he stayed with the Reads. Not to mention, both of them had lots and lots of snow, something I don't see very often.
I stretch like a snake, and I shimmy and shake, and I bounce like a ball, and I say something cute when you give me a squeeze!

Good, why don't you take some of the snow that I get?

But as for favorite episodes, this has always been a tough question for me. It's just so hard for me to pinpoint an episode in such a terrific series. I just continue to think about it again and again and continue to not be able to decide.

Why, are you from Wisconsin or something? :p

I wasn't aware that Wisconsin got a lot of snow, but no, I'm not from Wisconsin.

I don't get a ton super overload of snow, but I get more than I'd like.

I'm pretty sure it would be obvious that my favorite episode is Buster and the Daredevils :P
Buster: "Hey fresh dudes, mind if we chill your crib?"
Slink: "WHAT?!?"
Buster: "Me and my homefry here wanna be in your possum, I mean, posse!"
Toby: "What's he trying to say?"

For me, that episode is probably one of my least favorites. I just didn't like the sudden change of pace to do a music show. The whole feel of the show was one I didn't like.

I like it myself... waaay back before Glee killed TV musicals, you kind of had to expect that almost all children's cartoons do at least one musical episode during its run (anyone remember what was originally the second-to-last Dexter's Lab episode where the whole thing played out like an opera?)

My only quibble with it was Brain's music video was really the only one that seemed to have any kind of real effort put into it: both Arthur and Mr. Ratburn's music videos were pretty much clips and flashbacks.  :-\

I mean, come to think of it, I actually liked most of the songs in that episode (especially Library Card and Jeckyll and Hyde), but I think it might actually be that they didn't quite set up the episode the best...dunno what I would have rather had, but the whole feeling of it was a little too shaky, it you get what I'm saying.

That episode is one of the few "musical" episodes of a tv show that I somewhat actually enjoy. The only song I didn't like was the song about Mr. Read's cooking.

Somewhat enjoy are key words here :P
Buster: "Hey fresh dudes, mind if we chill your crib?"
Slink: "WHAT?!?"
Buster: "Me and my homefry here wanna be in your possum, I mean, posse!"
Toby: "What's he trying to say?"

On the subject of full episodes, another one of my favorites is "Arthur's Snow Biz; Bugged".

The former features a plot deviced that seems to be used very often on kids' cartoon, but it did put an interesting Arthur twist on it obviously, while the latter was one of those really interesting stories that delves deep into the character's mind, in this case, Brain realizing that his being a know-it-all bugs his friends at time.

OMIGOSH you liked a season 8 episode?!?!?!?! What is this world coming to?  :P

I like "Arthur's Snow Biz" a lot, but "Bugged" just didn't cut it for me. Dunno why, it's just that the whole big dream sequence that took up most of the episode didn't seem to feel right to me. I think I'd much rather have seen the dream done away with, and just have Brain be focusing on himself and observing things...

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before I enjoy Seasons 7 and 8 in addition to 1-4.  :P

Season 12 tried to improve halfway through, but other than that... "The Blackout" is probably my favorite from that season... stories like "Matchmaker, Matchbreaker", and "I Owe You One" were amusing at best... "The Cherry Tree" was a little messagy.

"No Acting Please" from Season 13 is good for Phillip Seymour Hoffman's guest spot, but other than that...
