What is everyone's opinion on Jenna? Plus with this picture could we see Jenna return to speaking once again?

Haha, I just put in the other thread about how I think that Jenna's hair is too black that she looks weird in that pic, having no idea I was going to find a thread about her.  :P

Gosh Francine looks so weird Flash-drawn/animated.

But as for Jenna, she seems to be one of the most-hated characters from the Arthur universe, mostly because of her overall design; granted, she's not the nicest-looking character from the series, but I don't think she's "so damn ugly" either.

My problem with Jenna is she really doesn't seem to have too much personality. Her shining episode, "Jenna's Bedtime Blues" did shed some light on a somewhat touchy issue with children (admittedly, I mentioned on Muppet Central several years ago I thought it'd make an interesting, though probably controversial, story that Ernie "has an accident", but doesn't want Bert to know for fear he'll make fun of him... and this was before that Potty Time DVD, BTW), but other than that, she's like another Francine: tomboyish, a sports junky, etc. I think if the writers tried something a little different with her, she might have been a more interesting character, but other than that, with as many different characters, both regular, or recurring otherwise, as the series has, it's kind of hard to explore any other kind of character with him/her being too similar to another already-existing character... which may actually explain why it seems like almost all newly-introduced characters have some kind of disability or disorder that is focused on them.

Jenna hasn't been getting any speaking parts since Arthur Season 10.

In a way, I would like to see more of Jenna. I know many people think her personality is bland, but for me, I think that she could be interesting if she was expanded on further out of two episodes.

If Jenna does return she could potentially interact with both Alex and Maria (those two rabbit characters that rarely have spoken throughout the series). Or other characters outside of the Mr. Ratburn's class is also a likely candidate too. So I could indeed see Jenna make a comeback, but as to what role she would play is something I am not sure of.

I think it might be fun to explore the badminton team of the school which Jenna participates in. Would also give a nice chance to showcase some background characters more prominently or to even introduce a couple new minor students.

Also, wasn't it revealed that Jenna coaches a community wheel chair basketball team? If I am thinking correctly, I wonder if they could possibly show that, with having Lydia on the team. It would give a wonderful opportunity to focus on wheelchairs and Lydia some more, while at the same time giving Jenna a comeback.

I don't really have an opinion of her. I remember when I was younger I hated her "I think hockey's dumb" comment.

Weirdly enough, I was always fond of that comment, not because I thought hockey was dumb (which I don't think it is), but I really like the straightforward manner of the entire statement.

I thought Alex the Male Rabbit got speaking parts in 2 Arthur episodes:
* Buster's Dino Dilemma (Season 1)
* Elwood City Turns 100 (Season 7)

They have had multiple speaking roles throughout the series. CJ can expand more on that probably.

Those were the only times Alex has ever been heard speaking alone. Maria never has so far. These two have spoken in other episodes, but in groups though not alone, so it's hard to determine who's voice is who. Looking at how Amanda had spoken in the episodes All About D.W. and Blockheads and was even given a voice actor, I can safely assume Alex, Jenna, and Maria are bound to break their silence either this season or next season.

This goes back to what I was saying in another thread, but I think that the main problem with Alex and Maria and becoming more established is the fact that they may have become these anonymous blanks that everyone fears toying with for some reason. Dunno for sure though.

That also goes back to something I said on the wiki. Reason they may not have used either Alex or Maria yet is that they could of simply forgotten about them. It's possible they never saw the need to use them back then since they had 11-12 characters to use during the first seasons/episodes. For anyone that has noticed the intro to the show only a few of the characters in that intro have not been used as of yet. Only time will tell if this changes, but from what I've been seeing and looking at the signs it's only a matter of time.

You know I've been doing some thinking and I thinking about the Badminton team of the school. It could be something interesting to look at, but I don't know. Also hearing that Jenna coaches a wheelchair basketball team makes it likely we could see Lydia return along with some other characters. What does everyone else think?
