Well, most of the episodes where he's part of the focus are episodes that center on D.W. and her daycare class, and usually those episodes aren't necessarily well received by some people (kind of like those Pal and Kate episodes).

I don't mind them so much myself, but again, I never really put much thought into how much more James has been featured in larger roles.

The preschool episodes to me can be pretty interesting as it focuses on issues that preschoolers deal with.
