He stole in Nerves of Steal, he stole a sundae and a chair in Cent-Less, and a Big Boss Bar in To Eat or Not To Eat. He is going to get caught some of these days. He will get arrested. :o
Arthur: I told you...NOT TO TOUCH IT!!! Captain Falcon: Falcon Punch! Terry Bogard: Are you okay!? Buster Wolf!

The Buster taking the chair and sundae in "Cents-Less" was only in a fantasy. It was a fantasy about what it would be like if there was no such thing as money and everyone just took whatever they want.

He did steal a dinosaur fossil in one of the early episodes, and he stole a police badge during Arthur's beginning flashback in "Buster's Amish Mismatch".

That is true, however, unlike the other episodes mentioned above, Buster really wasn't conscious when he stole those things as to how wrong it was.

Please note that this topic was moved to the characters section rather than the episodes section, as we are discussing a certain aspect of a character rather than an episode.

In "To Eat or Not to Eat", they don't really show Buster taking the bar and leaving the store. It is possible that Mr. Manino came later and Buster paid for it, or that Buster just put some cash on the counter.

That could be.

Ah, good old Buster...  ::)

While the police badge was clearly a mistake that he realized as he was walking out of the station, I like to think that the Big Boss Bar incident was Buster taking what he wants without paying because BUSTER. JUST. DOESN'T. CARE.

On the other hand, if he just sort of "took" the candy bar without even realizing that he was stealing it...that makes his concept of morality all the more hilarious.   :D

*As a side note, did anyone else notice how George eats the Big Boss Bar complete with the wrapper on when he buys it from Binky in the schoolyard?  So much subtle comedy in that episode...

I just assumed Buster did buy the candy bar. We just didn't see him actually pay for it because it wasn't relevant to the main story.

I also noticed George eating the wrapper as well as the bar. I can't imagine that ending too well for George. He's going to end up in the hospital with not only a trienzomated zorn jelly addiction, but also an intestinal blockage.

Or maybe candy wrappers in the Arthurverse are edible. It cuts down on littering!

Admittedly, they probably did intend for him to buy it.  Nonetheless, it's fun to take advantage of the scene's ambiguity and imagine him stealing it, especially after seeing him at work in Nerves of Steal.   8)

Crackhead Fern, on the other hand, is pretty hard to explain away...
