According to Arthur Wiki, Bubby is Laverne's mother, and Francine's grandfather in "Background Blues" is Oliver's father.

According to Arthur Wiki, Bubby is Laverne's mother, and Francine's grandfather in "Background Blues" is Oliver's father.

So, by that info, and by what Makuta Mutran contributed, the deceased grandfather is probably Francine's maternal grandfather (Laverne's father). Great facts, guys.

By the way, this is slightly off topic, but in "Francine's Split Decision", isn't Seth Francine's cousin? When Oliver (Francine's dad) said, "After Seth and his parents get their turn [on the chair]" during the Hora, there was an elderly lady in a purple dress with white hair, who was sitting on that chair. Does that mean that that white-haired lady is the sister of either Laverne or Oliver?

EDIT: Or could that lady be Oliver's mother (possibly a grandmother that Seth and Francine share)?
